Hey everyone! Just checking in to give you an update on where we are with the book and the prospects of it ever being released!
I'm happy to say that The Caretaker is nearing the end of its first draft, and the entire story is mapped out through to the conclusion. I know that might not sound like much of an update, but we're now over 100 pages, and I envision it being closer to 150 or so by the end. In case that sounds like I'm way off, I know things will speed up now that I can see the finish line. More importantly, it’s the later drafts where I’ll look to add the extra layers, which I hope will fully immerse you in the world of 2109 and the interstellar journey to another world (and, more importantly, the horrors encountered along the way!).
For my part, I'm making a real effort to dedicate more time in front of the computer to get this done. It has been far too easy for me to blame external factors, but at the end of the day, it’s up to me to carve out time for writing.
That's all well and good, but ultimately the proof will be when I have a release date!
Once The Caretaker is complete, I'll move on to one more story for the final book—one that I’m particularly excited to start. It’s still untitled, but it has a pretty unique concept that I’m eager to bring to life. I always strive to offer something fresh in my stories because I don’t want to just rehash old tropes. That said, there is a zombie story in the book, but rest assured, I’ve put a very different spin on it!
